Refund Policy

We want you to feel confident when shopping with us. However, due to the rare, collectible, and often vintage nature of our items, we maintain a careful return and refund policy.

1. Return Window

You have 14 days after delivery to request a return.
After this period, we may not be able to accept a return or issue a refund.

2. Eligibility for Returns

To be eligible for a return, the item must be returned in the same condition in which it was received, including all original packaging, OBI strips, inserts, booklets, and accessories where applicable.

Items sold as “New” or “Factory Sealed” are not eligible for return once opened.

3. Acceptable Reasons for Return

We accept returns only when an item is significantly not as described.
Examples may include:
• You received the wrong item
• The item differs clearly from the photos and description
• Important parts or inclusions described in the listing are missing

Please note that minor shelf wear, age-related wear, or other characteristics typical of vintage media are not considered grounds for return unless they were clearly omitted from the description.

4. Change of Mind

As a general rule, we do not accept returns due to a change of mind.

If we exceptionally agree to such a return, the buyer will be responsible for return shipping costs, and any original shipping costs incurred by us may also be deducted from the refund.

5. Quality Assurance & Return Process

To ensure the highest level of service and for your peace of mind, we carefully photograph and document the exact condition of every item immediately before it is packed.

This process helps ensure that you receive exactly what was described in the listing.

If you wish to request a return, please contact us at info@odmjapanrare.media first and provide clear photos of the item you received, along with the packaging if relevant.

In the event of a return, the returned item will be checked against our pre-shipment records to verify its condition and contents.

6. Refunds

Once the returned item has been received and inspected, we will notify you whether your refund has been approved.

If approved, the refund will be issued to your original payment method within a reasonable processing period.

7. Non-Returnable Situations

We may refuse a return or reduce the refund amount if the returned item is found to be:
• Opened when sold as sealed
• Incomplete
• Damaged after delivery
• Different from the item originally shipped

8. Unclaimed Packages & Customs Refusals

If a package is returned to us because delivery was refused, the package was left unclaimed, or the buyer refused to pay import duties, taxes, or customs-related charges, any refund will only be considered after the item has been safely returned to us and inspected.

In such cases:
• The original shipping cost will not be refunded.
• Any return shipping fees, customs charges, duties, taxes, or other related costs incurred due to the return may be deducted from the refund.
• If the returned item is not received back by us, or if the total return-related costs exceed the refundable amount, no refund may be issued.
